Why does URL import say "limited summary" or return a 422?

What this message means

This message means TailorLabs reached the page but could not extract enough reliable job details to run a full tailor safely.

Usually that happens when the job board blocks crawlers, loads content only after login, or serves a short placeholder instead of the full posting body.

Common causes

These are the top failure patterns:

• The posting is behind authentication or a session wall.
• The site uses aggressive anti-bot protections.
• The URL points to a redirect or tracking wrapper instead of the canonical job page.
• The page renders most content via scripts we cannot access from server-side fetch.

Fastest recovery path

Use this order to keep momentum:

• Open the job in your browser and copy the final URL from the address bar.
• Retry URL import once with the final URL.
• If it still fails, paste the full job description text in the fallback field.
• Submit the pasted text and continue tailoring from there.

Quality note

If you use the text fallback, include responsibilities, requirements, and preferred skills sections so gap detection has full context.
