How do I add my first job to tailor?

Two ways to add a job, URL import and text paste, and when to use each.

Option 1: import by URL

Go to your dashboard and select Add Job. Paste the job posting URL and submit. TailorLabs will attempt to extract the job title, company, and description automatically.

This works best on public job board pages that do not require login. If the import returns a limited summary, switch to option 2.

Option 2: paste the job description

If URL import fails or returns incomplete content, select the text fallback option. Copy the full job posting from your browser and paste it into the field.

Include the job title, all responsibility bullets, required qualifications, and preferred qualifications. The more complete the text, the better the gap analysis.

After the job is added

TailorLabs will analyze the posting against your resume and show you match strengths, requirement gaps, and a set of follow-up questions. From there you move into the tailoring flow.
