Can I skip a question I cannot answer?
What happens when you skip a question and whether it affects tailoring quality.
Skipping is allowed
You can skip any question you cannot answer honestly. Tailoring will still run using the answers you did provide.
If you skip a question, the related requirement gap may remain open in the final keyword coverage. That is expected: it reflects an honest gap rather than a fabricated claim.
When to skip vs. when to answer partially
Skip entirely when you have no relevant experience to draw from. Giving a partial answer is fine when you have adjacent context, for example a related tool, a similar workflow, or a transferable outcome from a different domain.
The tailoring engine will use what you give it. Partial but specific answers usually produce better output than a skip, as long as what you write is defensible in an interview.
