Why am I being asked about experience that is already on my resume?
Why the tailoring system prompts for detail on things your resume already mentions.
Presence is not the same as proof
If a skill or responsibility appears on your resume without supporting detail (no scope, no outcome, no concrete example) the system treats it as weak evidence even though it is technically present.
The question is asking you to strengthen that claim, not to confirm you have the experience.
What a better answer looks like
Instead of answering "Yes, I have this on my resume," add context the resume does not currently capture:
- How often you did this work.
- What scale it operated at.
- What specific tools, systems, or stakeholders were involved.
- What the measurable or observable outcome was.
The result
A stronger answer leads to a rewritten bullet that makes the claim believable and specific rather than just listed. That is the difference between a resume that has a skill and a resume that proves it.
