What keyword coverage shows
Keyword coverage compares the terms and skills in the job description against their presence in your tailored resume. Matched terms appear green; missing or underrepresented terms appear as gaps.
Coverage is calculated per requirement, not just raw word frequency. If a skill appears in your resume with supporting context, it counts as covered even if the exact phrasing differs.
High-priority vs. low-priority gaps
Not all gaps carry equal weight. Gaps tied to must-have requirements in the job description matter more than gaps on a long list of preferred skills.
Focus remediation on the top-priority gaps first. Covering every low-priority item is usually not worth a full re-tailor pass.
When coverage looks low
If coverage is low after tailoring, check whether your question answers were specific enough. Generic answers produce conservative rewrites that may miss key terms.
You can also add missing terms manually if you have genuine experience with them. Place them in the skills section or in relevant bullet context, not as a standalone list.
