Finding the export button

After tailoring completes, go to the export page for the job. You will find PDF and DOCX download options near the top of the page.

If you have made manual edits in the editor, confirm you are satisfied with them before downloading. The exported file reflects the current state of the editor.

Which format to download

Download PDF for most applications. It preserves formatting across all devices and is accepted by the majority of application systems.

Download DOCX when the job posting specifically asks for a Word file, or when a recruiter requests an editable version.

After downloading

Quick final checks before submitting:

Open the file and confirm all text is selectable (not a scanned image).
Check that section headings, bullets, and dates look correct.
Verify your contact information is accurate in this version.
Confirm the file name is professional before attaching to an application.
