How many times can I re-tailor the same job?
Re-tailor limits per plan, what changes each time, and when re-tailoring is worth it.
Re-tailor counts against your monthly quota
Each tailor run, including re-tailors, uses one tailoring credit from your monthly plan allowance. There is no separate re-tailor limit, but repeated runs for the same job do consume quota.
Before re-tailoring, check your dashboard to confirm you have credits remaining for the month.
When re-tailoring is worth it
Re-tailor when:
- High-priority requirements are still missing from keyword coverage after the first tailor.
- You gave short or vague answers the first time and want to improve specificity.
- You updated your baseline resume with new experience and want the tailored version to reflect it.
- The job description changed or you found a more complete version of it.
When to skip re-tailoring
If the top requirements are already covered and the summary and bullets look strong, additional tailoring usually has diminishing returns. Focus remaining credits on new target roles instead.
